KARNAK, Ill. -- Funeral for Linda Cross of Karnak will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Century High School gymnasium. The Revs. Larry Potts and Ken Sharp will officiate. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in Oakwood Cemetery in Milan, Tenn.
Friends may call at Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak from 4-9 p.m. today.
Cross, 54, died Wednesday, June 7, 2000, in Metropolis.
She was born Oct. 25, 1945, in Detroit, Mich., daughter of John and Mildred Gordon. She married Bob Cross.
Cross was a graduate of Milan High School in Milan, and Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
She was a teacher at Century Elementary School 26 years, and was awarded "Who's Who Among Teachers" numerous times. She and her husband joined Excel Telecommunication, where they were named to the Excel Eagle Team and were inducted into the Excel Hall of Fame. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Karnak.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Robert Cross of Paducah, Ky., Nathan Cross of Carbondale; her father of Milan; a sister, Carol Heath of Crestview, Fla.; and a brother, Doug Gordon of Milan.
She was preceded in death by her mother and a sister.
