Lily Duckworth

PORTAGEVILLE, Mo. -- Lily Finney Duckworth, 87, of Portageville died Tuesday, April 6, 2004 at Marston, Mo.

She was born Dec. 16, 1916, at Portageville, daughter of Mary Ella Warren and John William Young. She and Bill Finney were married March 3, 1937, and he preceded her in death May 5, 1960. She and Vernon Duckworth were married March 10, 1978, and he preceded her in death July 3, 2003.

Duckworth was employed as a teacher's assistant for many years.

Survivors include her two daughters, Rose Mary Williams of Marston and Gale Bethel of Scott City; a brother, Glen Young of Tampa, Fla.; a sister, Allie Gullege of Bernie, Mo.; 2 grandchildren; and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, two grandsons and three brothers.

Friends may call at Delisle Funeral Home at 6 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Rev. Wayne Tribble will officiate, with burial in Portageville Cemetery.
