BERTRAND -- Lilly F. Tidwell, 57, of Bertrand, died Saturday, June 22, 1991, at her home after an extended illness.
She was born April 1, 1934, in Haileyville, Ala., daughter of Elmer Lawrence and Eveline Barton Tyra, Sr.
She was employed for 17 years at the Ramada Inn in Minor and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bertrand.
On Aug. 6, 1955, in East Prairie she married Fred Tidwell. He survives.
Other survivors are three sons, Sgt. George Edward Tidwell, Elsworth Air Force Base, S.D., Michael Todd Tidwell, Charleston, and Shannon William Tidwell, Bertrand; one daughter, Rita Fuller, Bullhead City, Ariz.; five brothers, Edward Tyra, Haileyville, Ala., Elmer Tyra Jr., Sikeston, Kenneth Tyra, Somonauk, Ill., Charles Tyra, Sikeston and Stanley Tyra, Aurora, Ill.; four sisters, Dean Nichols, Haileyville, Mona Milner, Morrison, Ill., Lillian Sizemore, East Prairie, and Sue Perrigan, Pulaski, Tenn.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel.
Service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Bertrand. The Revs. Bill Meeks and Lewis Stone will officiate. Burial will follow in the Maynard Cemetery in Diehlstadt.
