DEXTER -- Lillie Woodruff, 95, of Dexter died Saturday, March 4, 2000, at the Beverly Health and Rehab Center at Dexter.
She was born Dec. 26, 1904, in Lawrence County, Ark., daughter of George and Louise May Stephens. She and Allen Horn were married in February 1923. He preceded her in death. On Dec. 19, 1927, she and William Cairl Woodruff were married. He died April 7, 1969.
Woodruff was a lifelong resident of Dexter and was a member of the Second General Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Baldwin of Essex; two sons, Carlton "Bill" Horn and Cairl Woodruff Jr., both of Dexter; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Ray Stephens of Dexter; two sisters, Christine Whiting of Springfield and Bonnie Shieler of Salton City, Calif.
She was preceded in death by a son, a brother and a sister.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home at Dexter.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home chapel. The Revs. Ronnie Ledbetter and Rick Patterson will officiate, with burial to follow at the Dexter Cemetery.
