PERRYVILLE -- Lillie N. Sterling, 71, of Perryville, formerly of Altenburg, died Friday, May 29, 1992 at her residence.
She was born Aug. 1, 1920 at Booneville, Miss., the daughter of George C. and Roxie L. Walley McCalmon
She was a homemaker. On Nov. 14, 1945 she married Willis D. Sterling. He preceded her in death June 21, 1986.
She is survived by five sons, James Flanigan, St. Louis, Willis C. Sterling, St. Louis, Daniel L. Sterling, Jackson, Richard Sterling, Cahokia, Ill., Mark Sterling, Altenburg; five daughters, Glenda Byram, Ellis Grove, Ill., Shirley Boyd, Charleston, Karon Schmidt, Altenburg, Paula Cox, Perryville, Connie Cambron, Perryville; two brothers, Eugene McCalmon, Epps, La., James McCalmon, Cattawissa, Mo.; two sisters, Juanita Polasek, Oakland, Calif., Nancy Gaddy, St. Louis; 21 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
One daughter and one sister preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Baptist faith and the Birthday Club of Altenburg.
Funeral service will be held Monday at White-Mullen Funeral Home in St. Louis at 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Jennings, Mo.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 1-9 p.m.
Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville was in charge of local arrangements.
