Lillie Belle Brehmer, daughter of the late John Thomas and Lilly Crowe Looney, was born April 2, 1921, in Greensburg, Kan., and departed this life in the Cypress Point Healthcare at Dexter, Mo., Friday, Sept. 21, 2007, at the age of 86. Mrs. Brehmer was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Dexter where she enjoyed singing in the choir, had worked alongside of her husband 50 years on the family farm, was a homemaker, a porcelain artist, a member of the home extension club, a member of OAKS, a former teacher in Helena, Okla., and a resident of Dexter.. ...

Lillie Belle Brehmer, daughter of the late John Thomas and Lilly Crowe Looney, was born April 2, 1921, in Greensburg, Kan., and departed this life in the Cypress Point Healthcare at Dexter, Mo., Friday, Sept. 21, 2007, at the age of 86.

Mrs. Brehmer was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Dexter where she enjoyed singing in the choir, had worked alongside of her husband 50 years on the family farm, was a homemaker, a porcelain artist, a member of the home extension club, a member of OAKS, a former teacher in Helena, Okla., and a resident of Dexter.

She loved to fish and dance. She was loved and will be missed by many family and friends.

She was united in marriage to Elmer Brehmer June 15, 1943, in Alva, Okla. Mr. Brehmer preceded her in death June 30, 2002.

Survivors include two sons, John Brehmer and wife Marilyn, and Jerry Brehmer and wife Miriam, all of Dexter; a daughter, Beth Bliese and husband David of Jackson; seven grandchildren, J.T. Brehmer and wife Monie, Julie Brehmer, Matthew Bliese, Melanie Bliese, Krista Young, Elise Young and David Young; three great-grandchildren, Meg Brehmer, Will Brehmer and Cy Warlick.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Looney, and by a sister, Mona Shopin.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at Faith Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Adam Mueller officiating. Interment will be in Chalk Bluff Cemetery.
