Lillian E. Sander, 82, of Millersville passed away Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, at her home. She was born Dec. 2, 1929, at Stroder Branch, north of Burfordville, daughter of Lewis and Laura Meyer Abbott. She married Joe Dayton Sander on Feb. 19, 1945, in Corning, Ark. He passed away Aug. 30, 2000...

Lillian E. Sander, 82, of Millersville passed away Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, at her home.

She was born Dec. 2, 1929, at Stroder Branch, north of Burfordville, daughter of Lewis and Laura Meyer Abbott. She married Joe Dayton Sander on Feb. 19, 1945, in Corning, Ark. He passed away Aug. 30, 2000.

Lillian and Joe lived on the family farm all of their married life. She worked side by side with him on the farm and continued to live there after he passed away. She attended Hurricane Fork General Baptist Church in Bollinger County.

Loving survivors include five sons and two daughters, the Rev. Jerry (Marylee) Sander of Millersville, Gary (Carolyn) Sander of Millersville, the Rev. Terry Sander of Marble Hill, Mo., Marie (Freddie) Ritter of Marble Hill, the Rev. Steven (Sharon) Sander of Millersville, Janice (Ron) White of Marble Hill and Randy (Cheryl) Sander of Marquand, Mo.; 21 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, family members and friends who loved her very much.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister and a great-granddaughter.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Joe Allen and Andy Sander officiating.

Interment will be in Haynes Chapel Cemetery near Burfordville.

Memorials may be made to Haynes Chapel Cemetery.
