LILLIAN POPP

Lillian Hulda Popp, 90, of 2825 Bloomfield died Thursday, Dec. 24, 1998, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born on April 17, 1908, at Tilsit, daughter of Charles and Emma Bistig Werner.

She was a housewife.

She married Edwin Vogle. He died Sept. 15, 1962.

She then married Theophil Popp Aug. 8, 1978. He died Dec. 18, 1993.

She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna. She was an honorary member of the Ladies Aid and the Women's Missionary League.

She worked for Florsheim Shoe Co. for 40 years. She lived in Cape Girardeau all of her life except for 15 years in Frohna.

Survivors include two stepdaughters, Marge Popp of Dallas, Texas, and Marie Klugman of Des Moines, Iowa; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at Ford & Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.

Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

The Rev. Wayne Palmer will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
