HAYDEN, Idaho -- Lillian L. Markhart, 74, of Hayden -- beloved wife, mother and grandmother -- passed away peacefully in her home the morning of Thursday, Sept. 24, 2020, with her husband Erv by her side.
Lillian was born March 4, 1946 in Cape Girardeau. She was a former longtime resident of Scott City. She was a member of the Scott City Women's Club and local school board before moving to Hayden 30 years ago.
Lillian was an amazing, creative, artistic, crafty woman. There wasn't anything she couldn't do. Many remarked about her beautiful voice and artistic talents. She was a florist for 30 years. She loved being outside gardening in her yard and spending time with her grandchildren. She was beautiful inside and out.
Lillian will be greatly missed by many lifelong friends, as well as her loving family. She leaves behind her husband of 49 years, Erwin C. Markhart; daughters, Susan (Matt) Broadhurst of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and Laura (Nevada) Jackson of Post Falls, Idaho; and grandchildren, Isabella Markhart, and Jackson and William Broadhurst.
