Lillian Agnes "Bobbie" Kuss, 93, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, March 13, 2006, at the Lutheran Home. She was born June 17, 1912, in Paragould, Ark., daughter of William C. and Maude Mae Ferguson Downs. She and Joseph R. Kuss were married Nov. 3, 1929, at New Hamburg, Mo. He died Nov. 3, 1970...

Lillian Agnes "Bobbie" Kuss, 93, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, March 13, 2006, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born June 17, 1912, in Paragould, Ark., daughter of William C. and Maude Mae Ferguson Downs. She and Joseph R. Kuss were married Nov. 3, 1929, at New Hamburg, Mo. He died Nov. 3, 1970.

Kuss worked as a clerk in St. Louis, worked at Superior Electric nine years, Davis Electric, and Cape Farm and Hardware 10 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral, its Council of Catholic Women and Quilting Committee, Campster Club, VFW 3838 Auxiliary, charter member of Cape Navy Mothers, and volunteered more than 4,000 hours with Saint Francis Medical Center Auxiliary.

Survivors include three sons, Joseph Kuss of Englewood, Fla., William and James Kuss of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters and a granddaughter.

Friends may call at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Friday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Cathedral, with the Rev. Thomas Kiefer officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
