Lillian E. Cruse, 89, of Albany, Ore., died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2002, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Corvallis, Ore.
She was born July 25, 1912, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Joseph Franklin and Mary Myrtle Moore Kimbel. She and Harvie Lee Cruse were married July 3, 1928, in Missouri. He died April 5, 1977.
Cruse grew up in Missouri, moved to Northern California in 1948 and had lived in Albany since April 27, 1949. She worked as a welder and riveter in a shipyard during World War II. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include two sons, Ralph Cruse of Albany, Vernon Cruse of Prineville, Ore.; a daughter, Rosanna Ritts of Salem, Ore.; a sister, Elaine Dollman of Saudi Arabia; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a daughter and nine brothers and sisters.
Friends may call at Fisher Funeral Home in Albany from 5-8 p.m. Monday.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Assembly of God Church. Burial will be in Franklin Butte Cemetery in Scio, Ore.
