PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Lillian Marie Brune, 90, of Perryville died Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at her home.
She was born July 12, 1923, in Old Appleton, daughter of Oscar W. and Helen M. Meyer Dambach. She and John H. Brune were married Sept. 6, 1942. He preceded her in death March 13, 2007.
Lillian was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and was a former Sunday school teacher and Chancel Guild member.
Survivors include a son, Charles (Anna) Brune of Perryville; three daughters, Joan Layton of Perryville, Shirley Moore of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and Jannette Barks of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; two sisters, Mary Haertling of McMinnville, Oregon, and Frances Krauss of Perryville; eight grandchildren, Tammy (Wess) Sparkman, Lisa (Dale) Buerck, Misty (Bryan) Friese, Casey Font, Sheila Moore, Deanna Moore, John (Savannah) Barks and Shannon Barks; and 10 great-grandchildren, Tiarra Sparkman, Jacob Sparkman, Joshua Buerck, Jadyn Buerck, Benjamin Font, Zachariah Font, Luke Font, Katherine Friese, Jaylin Barks and Gabriel Barks.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son-in-law, Larry "Shab" Moore; two brothers, Elliott and Ralph Dambach; and three sisters, Leona Huber, Florence Drum and Dorothy (Mickey) Oberndorfer.
Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time Saturday at Immanuel Church in Perryville.
The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Matthew Marks officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Memorials are preferred to Serenity Hospice Care, Immanuel Lutheran School Debt Fund or charity of your choice.
