Lillian V. Blattel, 88, of Cape Girardeau, died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2017, at Fountainbleau Lodge.
She was born in Illmo to Clarence L. and Alma R. Hoffman Jackson. She and James G. Blattel were married July 15, 1946, in Fornfelt. He preceded her in death March 30, 2011.
Mrs. Blattel was employed at the shoe factory, Saint Francis Hospital and Andersen-Clark, retiring in 1994. She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include a son, James (Doris) Blattel of Jackson; two daughters, Vicki (Tim) Raines and Linda (Larry) Summers of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren, Heather (Kody) Newkirk, Jaime (Charles) Williams, Brandon (Nancy) Blattel and Adam Raines; seven great-grandchildren, Kaya and Kiana Newkirk, Corie, Jalen and Cameron Williams and Boyd and Piper Blattel; a brother, Joe (Velma) Jackson; and a sister, Kitty Harris.
She was preceded in death by her husband; an infant son, William; parents; two brothers; and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Parish Prayers will be at 7 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Cathedral in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Allan Saunders as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Scott City.
