Lillian B. Lowes, 86 years of age, of Cape Girardeau passed away Thursday, Aug. 26, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born Aug. 15, 1913, in Friedheim, daughter of Albert W. and Mary Neislein Tuschhoff. On Oct. 26, 1931, she married Guy E. Lowes in Chester, Ill.

She was a charter member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. Mrs. Lowes was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 3838. She worked in the bakery department of Mr. C's Foodliner Cape Girardeau from 1965 to 1974. Later she worked at Food Services with SEMO University from 1975 to 1988.

She is survived by her husband, Guy E. Lowes of Cape Girardeau; two sons, Albert C. Lowes of Jackson and Guy A. Lowes of Little Rock, Ark.; two daughters, Irma Jean Paden of Maysville, Mo., and Mary Frances Lowes of Cape Girardeau; six grandchildren, Guy A. Lowes Jr. of Chapman, W.Va., Albert C. Lowes II of Jackson, J. Andrew Lowes of Fishers, Ind., Kurt B. Lowes of Weldon Springs, Mo., William M. Lowes of Birmingham, Ala., Danita Lowes of Sidney, Australia; two great-grandchildren, Braden M. and Brooke E. Lowes, both of Fishers, Ind.

Mrs. Lowes was preceded in death by a daughter, two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral service will be held today, Aug. 29, 1999, at St. Mark Lutheran Church at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Robert Klein officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons of Mrs. Lowes.

Visitation today will be from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Ford & Sons Mount Auburn Chapel and from 1 p.m. until time of the service at the church.

Memorials may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church.
