Lila Eileen Garner, 78, of Scottsboro, Ala., passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014, at her home.
Survivors include two sons, Bob (Linda) Garner of Jackson and Terry (Sherry) Garner of Scottsboro; a daughter, Michelle Garner of Scottsboro; seven grandchildren, Tim (Meg) Garner of Jackson, Brent (Andrea) Garner of Edwardsville, Ill., Jason (Amy) Garner of Chicago, Loreal Garner of St. Louis, Tera (Mark) Clark of Huntsville, Ala., Travis (Natalie) Garner and Jeremy Garner of Scottsboro; 11 great-grandchildren, Jaiden, Caleb, Annalise, Gavin, Tanner, Asa, Noah, Camden, Jaylon, Clare and Chloe.
Also three sisters, Nina (James) Machen of South Pittsburg, Tenn., Rena Derrick of Scottsboro and Lucy Sargeant of Altona, Ill.; and two brothers, R.W. Christa of Bluffs, Ill., and V.C. Christa of Chattanooga, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Robert Garner; and parents, Jess and Florence Christa.
The funeral was Monday at Scottsboro Funeral Home, with the Rev. David Patty officiating. Burial was in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Tim Garner, Brent Garner, Jason Garner, Travis Garner, Jeremy Garner and Jaiden Garner.
Scottsboro Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
