ANNA, Ill. -- Levi Ernest Schlenker, 79, of Anna died Monday, July 16, 2001, at his home. He was born Oct. 18, 1921, son of Daniel Joseph and Pear Eva Miller Schlenker. He and Blanche Louise McRaven were married July 22, 1944, in Jonesboro, Ill. She died Feb. 15, 1992...

ANNA, Ill. -- Levi Ernest Schlenker, 79, of Anna died Monday, July 16, 2001, at his home.

He was born Oct. 18, 1921, son of Daniel Joseph and Pear Eva Miller Schlenker. He and Blanche Louise McRaven were married July 22, 1944, in Jonesboro, Ill. She died Feb. 15, 1992.

Schlenker was a lifelong farmer in Union County, Ill., and a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Troy Schlenker; a daughter, Imogene Louise Rodgers; a brother, Wardell Schlenker; three sisters, Mildred McDonald, Beatrice Miller and Shirley Keller, all of Anna; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons and a brother.

Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. today at Lutz & Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Doug Bridgeman officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
