Levi Michael Asher, 31, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2021.
He was born Aug. 16, 1990, in Cape Girardeau to Max Asher and Laura Gast Murakami.
He was a graduate of Jackson High School.
For the past eight years he worked as an insulation technician at K&F Insulation. He dedicated his free time to upgrading his low rider truck and riding motorcycles.
His biggest and greatest accomplishment in life was the birth of his son. He found pride and joy in being a father figure to Bryton, the most of which was creating a personalized bicycle, playing video games and listening to loud music through his sound system.
There was not a moment that Levi wasn't smiling. He loved hard and supported those he loved, especially his siblings. He was so proud of each of them.
Survivors include his mother, Laura (Mark) Murakami of Cape Girardeau; father, Max (Teresa) Asher of Cape Girardeau; son, Bryton Asher of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Samuel and Benjamin Asher, both of Cape Girardeau; sister, Heather (Lane) Thompson of Jackson; nephew, Reece; maternal grandfather, Johnnie (Linda) Gast of Jackson; maternal grandmother, Jody (Frank) Hurt of Jackson; and paternal grandmother, Florence Asher of Cape Girardeau. He is also survived by two stepsisters, Krista Mertz and Chelsea Blankenship, and several cousins.
Levi was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Larry Asher.
A celebration of life will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Osage Centre, 1625 N. Kingshighway in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be given to the family to help defray funeral expenses.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home -- Mount Auburn is in charge of arrangements.
