PATTON -- Funeral for Lettie Whitlow of the Cagle community near Dunlap, Tenn., was held Monday at Mt. Pleasant Congregational Methodist Church near Dunlap. The Revs. Charles Thomas and Doug Feazell officiated. Burial was in Cagle-Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
Putnam-Standefer-Reed Funeral Home in Dunlap was in charge of arrangements.

Whitlow, 90, died Saturday, Sept. 18, 1999.
She was born Oct. 31, 1908, in Dunlap, daughter of John and Mary Seals. She married Brooks Whitlow, who preceded her in death.
Whitlow had worked at Smith's Drugs. She was a charter member of Mt. Pleasant Church, and had served as secretary and Sunday School teacher. She was a former secretary of Tennessee Bethel Annual Conference.
Survivors include four daughters, Evelyn Whitlow, Juanita Tate and Wanda Long of Dunlap, Rachel Rhodes of Farmington; two sons, David Whitlow of Dunlap, John Whitlow of Patton; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sons.
