PERRYVILLE -- Letha J. Cox, 86, of Perryville, died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 1991, at American Care Center.
She was born June 25, 1905, in Cape Girardeau County, daughter of Charles V. Smith and Bessie L. Smith. She married LoVelle Cox, who died in 1973.
Cox was a retired elementary teacher, and member of Retired Teachers Association.
Survivors include a son, Richard Cox of Turner, Ore.; two sisters, Mildred Rhodes of St. Louis, Vallie Leigh of Perryville, and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Young and Sons Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Ronald Brand will officiate, with burial in Presbyterian Cemetery at Brazeau.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
