SEDGEWICKVILLE, Mo. � Lester Leo Shrum, 77, of Sedgewickville died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, at his home.
He was born Jan. 21, 1940, in Sedgewickville, son of Ralph and Bertha Lix Shrum.
Lester was a farmer and worked at his own saw mill. He was a member of Crossroads United Methodist Church in Sedgewickville. He was an avid hunter, and loved his dog, Mug.
Survivors include a son and a daughter, Scotty (Sara) Shrum of Sedgewickville and Pamela (Rodney) Oehl of Friedheim; a sister, Viola Webb of Perryville, Missouri; and a grandson, Dustin Oehl of Columbia, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Daisy Shrum; and two brothers, Elmer and Ellis Shrum.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 6:30 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville, with the Rev. Randy Shrum officiating. Burial will be in Crossroads United Methodist Cemetery in Sedgewickville.
Memorials are preferred to Crossroads United Methodist Cemetery.
