With deepest sorrow and fond memories, we say goodbye to Lester E. "Sonny" Pearman, a devoted husband, wonderful father, grandfather, brother and friend.

Sonny, a longtime resident of Kissimmee, Fla., passed away Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2005, at Osceola Regional Medical Center in Kissimmee after years of complications from diabetes.

He was born Oct. 30, 1929, in Cache, Ill., and raised and schooled at Olive Branch, Ill. He is the son of Lester Pearman and Shirley Kirkham Parker. He was raised by his beloved grandparents, Mark and Mary Pearman.

He married Darlyn Willis Sept. 6, 1953, in Olive Branch.

Sonny retired after 21 years in the U.S. Air Force. He was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans and Air Force Sergeants Association.

He leaves to cherish his memory a loving and devoted wife of 51 years, Darlyn Pearman of Kissimmee; a son, Mark Pearman (Cindy) of Kissimmee; a daughter, Lisa Wayte (Eric) of Orlando, Fla.; a grandchild, Mark Pearman Jr., who he dearly loved; three sisters, Shirley Ann Holmberg of New Richmond, Wis., Bonnie Larsen and Patricia Parker of Hayward, Wis.; his stepmother, Helen Pearman of Cape Girardeau; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Parker.

He was loved by all.

Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. today at Osceola Memory Gardens Funeral Home in Kissimmee.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. today at the funeral home with full military honors. Burial will be in Osceola Memory Gardens Cemetery.
