Lester Lukow, 87, of Gordonville died Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at his home.
He was born Sept. 14, 1922, in Jackson, to John Henry and Grace Mungle Lukow. He and Althea Kruegger were married Oct. 10, 1942, at Jackson. She preceded him in death June 5, 2000.
Lukow was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was an auto body repairman more than 40 years.
Survivors include three sons, Gary and David Lukow of Cape Girardeau, Larry Lukow of Gordonville; three grandchildren, John Lukow and Brandy Trickey of Cape Girardeau, Mike Rhyne of Scott City; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and a daughter, Barbara Rhyne.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jim Cooper officiating. Burial will be in Hanover Church Cemetery in Cape Girardeau, with military rites by Missouri Honor Guard.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association.
