LESTER L. MILLER SR.

Lester L. Miller Sr., 85, 1116 N. Frederick, died Saturday, Aug. 24, 1991, at his home. He was born Oct. 8, 1905, in Cape Girardeau, son of Charles P. and Ethel McGee Miller. He married Ethel C. Rogers, who died in 1949. He later married Rose Swan, who died March 19, 1990....

He was born Oct. 8, 1905, in Cape Girardeau, son of Charles P. and Ethel McGee Miller. He married Ethel C. Rogers, who died in 1949. He later married Rose Swan, who died March 19, 1990..

Miller worked for Missouri Utilities 25 years. He was a member of Second Baptist Church and past financial secretary.

Survivors include two sons, Lester Miller Jr. of Springfield, Ill., James Stubbs of Indianapolis, Ind.; a stepson, William Bynum of St. Louis; four sisters, Elner Miller, Mary McGee and Virginia Ross of Cape Girardeau, Maxine Martin of St. Louis; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren, and Larry Swan of Boston, Mass., whom he reared.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, son and two sisters.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 8 a.m. Wednesday.
