SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Lester F. Wright of Sikeston will be held at 11 a.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Dale McFarland will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Wright, 73, died Tuesday, May 31, 1994, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born March 22, 1921, in Warm Springs, Ark., son of Claude and Monie Holt Wright. He and Virginia Proffer were married May 12, 1944.

Wright was a maintenance worker at Sikeston Public Schools from 1962-83. He was a member of North Acres General Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Lester and Michael Wright of Sikeston; a daughter, Carolyn Nickell of Sikeston, and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.
