PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Leslie T. Lowes Sr., 83, of Perryville, formerly of Old Appleton, Mo., died Sept. 18, 2010, at Perry Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation.
He was born in Grand Tower, Ill., on Feb. 1, 1927, son of the late Charles H. G. and Estella Wilson Lowes. He and Jacklena Feltz were married on May 22, 1945. She survives in Perryville.
Other survivors include two sons and a daughter, Leslie and Mary Belle Davis Lowes Jr., Glen and LeAnn Hunt Lowes and Dolly Lowes, all of Perryville; eight grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and eight great-stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, nine brothers and four sisters.
Mr. Lowes had been a farmer. He liked to hunt and fish.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. today and from 6:30 a.m. until time of service Tuesday.
Funeral service for Mr. Lowes will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Young and Sons Funeral Home, with the Rev. Matthew Marks officiating.
Burial will be in Home Cemetery.
Memorials are preferred to American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.
