MOUNDS, Ill. -- Leslie David Stoner, 89, of Mounds, died Thursday, Nov. 28, 1991, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born July 13, 1902 at Wetaug, Ill., son of Charlie and Daisy Hileman Stoner.
He attended the First Baptist Church of Mounds. He retired after 47 years as a machinist with the E.L. Bruce Co. near Cairo, Ill.
He married Bertha Pearl Sheffer in 1923. She survives of Mounds.
Also surviving are one son, Myrell Stoner of Mounds; and two brothers, Carl Stoner of Memphis, Tenn., and Leo Stoner of the state of Nevada.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge, Ill., with the Rev. F.M. Speakman officiating. Burial will be in the Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge.
