PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Leroy B. Wucher, 70, of Perryville died Sunday, Jan. 15, 2006, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Oct. 16, 1935, at Longtown, Mo., son of Barney William and Justine Christine Meyer Wucher. He and Mary Ann LaRose were married April 12, 1958.
Wucher retired as a truck driver with Rollet Brothers Trucking. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Elks Lodge 2701, River Hills Eagles Aerie 4034, Amvets Post 94, American Legion Post 133 and booster member of VFW Post 4282.
He served six years in Missouri National Guard Company B, 1140th Infantry.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Dennis Wucher of Arlington, Texas, Keith Wucher of Perryville; a daughter, Elizabeth Grass of Perryville; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. today, and Wednesday from 6:30 a.m. until time of service. Amvets will have a wake at 6:30 tonight.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Henry Grodecki officiating. Burial will be in St. Boniface Cemetery, with military graveside rites by American Legion Post 133.
