TAMMS, Ill. -- Leroy Williams Sr., 79, of Tamms died Monday, Oct. 27, 2008, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born May 14, 1929, in Jonestown, Miss., son of Will and Joann Williams. He married Geraldine Williams, who preceded him in death.
Williams retired from Burkart in Cairo, Ill. He was a member of Mount Tabor Missionary Baptist Church in Sandusky, Ill.
Survivors include five sons, Leroy Jr., Roger, Gary and James Williams, all of Sandusky, Alfred Williams of Tamms; three daughters, Regina Barnett of Mounds, Ill., Cynthia Hardaman of Hampton, Va., Teresa Williams of Mobile; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons.
Visitation will be from noon to service time Saturday at Massie Funeral Home in Mounds.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Larry Barnett officiating. Burial will be in Spencer Heights Memorial Park in Mounds.
