LeRoy R. Steger, 84, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Oct. 10, 2021, at Chaffee (Missouri) Nursing Center.
He was born July 20, 1937, in Egypt Mills to Fred and Wilma Huber Steger. He and Gloria J. Hurt were married July 22, 1960, at Cape Girardeau.
He was owner/operator, along with his wife, of Steger Upholstery Shop in Cape Girardeau for more than 20 years.
LeRoy was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Chapel in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria Steger of Cape Girardeau; son, Kevin (Carolyn) Steger of Cape Girardeau; daughter, Jeanne (Victor) Phillips of Scott City; four grandchildren, Shaun (Nicole) Steger, Erica (Jacob) Douglas, Christopher Phillips and Heather Phillips; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral service will follow at noon Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Rennie Phillips officiating. Entombment will be at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be given to Parkinson's Disease Foundation.
