LeRoy M. "Roy" Johnston, 83, of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, Feb. 11, 2006, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born March 9, 1922, in Green Bay, Wisc., son of Clarence H. and Rosa Beaseau Johnston. Johnston drove a truck for Barrett Mobile Home Transport, worked for Lavonia Feed Mill in Lavonia, Ind. and Oxequipe out of Chicago, Ill. He drove a bus for South Suburban Transit in Chicago and worked for Link Belt making conveyers for the U.S. Navy...

Survivors include a son, Richard; a daughter, Denise; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Cy Smith officiating. Full military rites will be performed by the VFW Post 3838 and the Missouri Honor Team. Burial will be at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo.
