CHARLESTON -- Leroy Butler, 73, of Charleston, died Saturday, April 3, 1993, at his home.
He was born Feb. 14, 1920, in Brownsville, Tenn., son of Buster and Della Mains Butler. He married the former Peclor Armstrong.
Survivors include his wife of St. Louis; two sons, Roy and Louis Butler of St. Louis; three stepdaughters, Ellouise Reed, Luellen Washington and Cynthia Miller, all of St. Louis; two sisters, Elnora Jones of Charleston, Christine Brooks of St. Louis; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 11 stepgrandchildren, and two great-stepgrandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mercy Seat Baptist Church. The Rev. J.L. Posey will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call at Sparks Funeral Home from 7-8 p.m. today.
