EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for LeRoy (Dock) Bisher of East Prairie will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Shelby Funeral Chapel here. Mike Johnson will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today.
Bisher, 85 years old, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 1991, at Missouri Delta Medical Center, following an extended illness.
He was born July 20, 1905, in New Madrid County, son of Joseph and Mae Mullin Bisher. He and the former Ethelyne Haines were married July 5, 1930. She died July 3, 1976.
Bisher was a retired farmer, and attended Full Gospel Church.
Survivors include a son, Bryan Bisher of East Prairie; four daughters, Maxine Haney of Charleston, Shirley Barger of East Prairie, Phyllis Bonner of Abilene, Tex., Hilda Hardison of Hammond, Ind.; 20 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, son, three sisters and five brothers.
