Leonard Lee Slinkard, 68, of Concord, N.C., died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004, at his home. He was formerly of Chaffee, Mo.
He was born March 15, 1936, in East Prairie, Mo., son of Orville and Edna Brightwell Slinkard. He and Essie Annetta Hitt were married Sept. 5, 1955, in Scott City.
Slinkard had been a supervisor at McDonnell-Douglas in St. Louis. He was a member of Teamsters Local 688 in St. Louis.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Sam Slinkard of Concord; two daughters, Cindy Kunkel and Debbie Oswalt of St. Louis; three brothers, Raymond and Allen Slinkard of St. Louis, Charles Slinkard of St. Charles, Mo.; a sister, Ruth Wheat of St. Louis; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel from 11 a.m. to service time today.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at the chapel, with the Rev. Toby Davis officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery.
