JACKSON -- Leonard Ledbetter, 75, of Jackson, died Thursday, March 9, 1995, at St. Joseph Hospital in Kansas City. He was born Oct. 10, 1919, at Marble Hill, son of Frank and Dora Filer Ledbetter. He and Gertrude Stroder were married Sept. 7, 1946. She died Jan. 2, 1989...

JACKSON -- Leonard Ledbetter, 75, of Jackson, died Thursday, March 9, 1995, at St. Joseph Hospital in Kansas City.

He was born Oct. 10, 1919, at Marble Hill, son of Frank and Dora Filer Ledbetter. He and Gertrude Stroder were married Sept. 7, 1946. She died Jan. 2, 1989.

Ledbetter was a pipefitter, and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of VFW Post 3838 and Disabled American Veterans in Cape Girardeau, American Legion and Elks in Jackson.

Survivors include a son, Ronald Ledbetter of Warrensburg; two daughters, Judy Hackler of Warrensburg, Sharon Hamilton of Scott City; a sister, Lillian Morrison of Marble Hill; seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, a granddaughter, and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jimmie Fulbright officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery, with military graveside rites by VFW Post 3838.
