POCAHONTAS -- Leonard H. Koeberl of Pocahontas died Saturday, March 29, 1997, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was 49 years old.
He was born Jan. 19, 1948, near Pocahontas, the son of Carl and Bertha Walther Koeberl. He was married to Mary Kranawetter June 13, 1970. He was a 1966 Jackson High School graduate and a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Pocahontas.
He was employed for a number of years at the Herb Rauh Gas Co. of Pocahontas. He was also employed for nine years by the Pocahontas Lumber Co. of Jackson, and he farmed in Pocahontas.
He is survived by his parents; one son, Andrew Koeberl of Jackson; one daughter, Alaina Koeberl of Jackson; and one sister, Laverne Schreiner of Oak Ridge.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson between 4 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. today, and at 10:30 a.m. on Monday. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. at the St. Johns Lutheran Church, the Rev. John Kiehl officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
