Leonard John Fisher, 86, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born May 23, 1916, at Glennon, Mo., son of George and Blanche Horrell Fisher. He and Josephine Nenninger were married April 24, 1947, at Glennon.
Fisher had been a mechanic at Rueseler Chevrolet, Cape Auto Mart, and Mid-America Power. He was a member and usher at St. Mary's Cathedral.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son and daughter-in-law, Vincent and Joan Fisher of Cobden, Ill.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Joan and Vic Beck of St. Louis, Donna and Jim Bone of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Elmer Fisher of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Alma Nenninger of Glennon, Mabel Byland of Norfolk, Va.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Friends may call at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Friday. Parish prayers will be at 7.
The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Cathedral, with Msgr. Richard Rolwing officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, with military rites to be conducted by the Delta Team.
Pallbearers will be Greg Bone, Carl Bone, John Hudson and Nick Fisher.
