LEONARD A. GETTINGS

Leonard A. Gettings, 74, of Scott City, died Wednesday, June 17, 1992, at the Lutheran Home. He was born Jan. 6, 1918, at Chaffee, son of Enos Hardy and Clementine Cox Gettings. Leonard A. Gettings, 74, of Scott City, died Wednesday, June 17, 1992, at the Lutheran Home.

He was born Jan. 6, 1918, at Chaffee, son of Enos Hardy and Clementine Cox Gettings. He and Jewell Reid Witcher were married Feb. 6, 1959.

Gettings was a self-employed painter. He was active in athletics at Chaffee High School.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Terry Gettings of Scott City; a daughter, Judy Lowry of Long Beach, Calif.; a stepson, John Witcher of Cape Girardeau; a stepdaughter, Sharon Fornkohl of Scott City; 20 grandchildren and stepgrandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, sister and three brothers.

Friends may call at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel after 6 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Rennie Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
