WENTZVILLE, Mo. -- Leona Pearl Tuschhoff, 88, formerly of Old Appleton, Mo., died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2000, at the Wentzville Park Care Center in Wentzville. WENTZVILLE, Mo. -- Leona Pearl Tuschhoff, 88, formerly of Old Appleton, Mo., died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2000, at the Wentzville Park Care Center in Wentzville.

She was born Dec. 9, 1911, in Old Appleton, daughter of Oscar Hays and Roxie Kurre Lang. She was married to Julian Tuschhoff, who died in 1953.

She was a retired elementary school teacher who taught in Cape Girardeau and Perry counties. She was a former member of the Zion Methodist Church and, for the past several years, was active in the United Methodist Church of Wentzville and the United Methodist Women.

Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Brewer of Wentzville and Joan Caruthers of Chesterfield, Va.; two brothers, William Lang of Oak Ridge, Mo., and Byron Lang, of Jackson, Mo.; and a sister, Mary Dell Clingingsmith of Oak Ridge.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call between noon and 2 Sunday at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, followed by burial in Zion United Methodist Cemetery in Old Appleton. The Rev. Susan Hoyle will officiate.
