LEONA M. FORNKOHL

Funeral service for Leona May Fornkohl of Cape Girardeau will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. The Rev. Naamon Eaker will officiate, with burial in Thompson Cemetery near Egypt Mills.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.

Fornkohl, 58, died Tuesday, Aug. 23, 1994, at Frederick Street Manor.

She was born Jan. 12, 1936, at Tilsit, daughter of Willie and Lona Overbeck Friedhof. She and Junior Martin Fornkohl were married Feb. 23, 1957, in Cape Girardeau. He died March 23, 1994.

Fornkohl was a lifelong resident of Cape Girardeau County.

Survivors include three sons, Jim, Steve and Randy Fornkohl of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Susan Hager of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Janice Thiele of Cape Girardeau, Frances Jennings of St. Louis, Shirley Friedhof of Farmington, and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
