Leon D. Sander, 80, of Scott City died Thursday, June 13, 2019, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born July 29, 1938, in Tilsit to Herbert and Hulda Fluegge Sander. He married Carron Rose Ham on Jan. 23, 1981.
He was a truck driver for Marquette Cement Co. and was a member of Illmo Baptist Church in Scott Ctiy.
He is survived by his wife, Carron Rose; two sons, Tim (Jeanne) Scheper of Scott City and Daniel (Kimberly) Scheper of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Tamra Blankenhship of Scott City, Sandy (Daniel) Harvey-Keck of Joliet, Illinois, and Christal (Barry) Threadgill of Acworth, Georgia; a brother-in-law, John Paul (Lisa) Ham of Scott City; 14 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. Monday until the time of service at Illmo Baptist Church in Scott City.
Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the church, with the Rev. Mike Shupert officiating.
