EAST CAPE GIRARDEAU, Ill. -- Leon Ruffin, 63, of East Cape Girardeau, formerly of Olive Branch, died Saturday, Nov. 25, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born March 31, 1932, in Trumann, Ark. On June 10, 1958, he married Patsy Weir.
Ruffin had worked 20 years as a truck driver for C. Hagen Hinge Co. in St. Louis. He later was owner/operator of the Horseshoe Tavern at Olive Branch. He was a member of the Pulaski-Alexander Farm Bureau and a former member of the Alexander County Sportsman's Club.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Cathy Watson of St. Louis and Vickey Bledsoe of Okawville; a son, Stan Harris of St. Louis; two sisters, Mary Ann Franklin of Prospect, Ky., and Sheila Curtis of Searcy, Ark.; a brother, Joe Ball of Little Rock, Ark.; and four grandchildren.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Kurt Alderson and Bill Whitener officiating. Burial will follow in Lindsey Cemetery in McClure.
