Hillsborough, NJ. -- Leon "Lefty" Wesley Linebarger, 82, of Hillsborough died Aug. 19, 2005, at the Pavilions in Princeton, N.J.

Born in Cape Girardeau, Linebarger has resided in New Jersey since 1976. Lefty served in the Army Air Corps from 1943 to 1946.

He graduated from St. Louis University in 1948.

He started his career with Shell Oil in Illinois and Esso in Cartagena, Columbia, and was with Commonwealth Oil Company in Puerto Rico, serving as their VP/Comptroller in New York City, N.Y. He co-owned and operated Rosenthal Lumber in New Brunswick, NJ., from 1975 to 1993. He then owned, with his son Brian, MotoPhoto in Whitehouse, N.J., from 1993 to 2005. Linebarger served on the board of Montgomery National Bank for several years and was a current member of the board of Crest Ultrasonic Corp.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Wilma Pauline Braschler; two sons, Derek Linebarger and wife Kathy, and Brian Linebarger; two brothers, Carl Linebarger and wife Cleo of New Orleans, La., and John and wife Mary of Schertz, Texas; a brother-in-law, Curtis Braschler and wife Marilyn of Columbia, Mo.; a sister-in-law, Irene Huggins of Helena, Mt.; seven grandchildren, Bridget, Lindsay, Michael, Thomas, Brett, Leah and Megan; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Blackwell Memorial Home, 21 N. Main St., Pennington, N.J. Interment will be private,

Contributions are requested to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
