PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Leon C. L'Hote, 95, of Perryville, died Sunday, April 21, 2019, at his home.
He was born Jan. 10, 1924, in Belgique, Missouri, son of Leon and Lilly Modde L'Hote. He and Helen Gorman were married June 27, 1942. She survives in Perryville.
Leon had farmed and worked for Perry County Road Department. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and American Legion Post 133. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include a son, Thomas (Carol) L'Hote of Green Cove Springs, Florida; two daughters, Lee Ann (Larry) Reiss of Perryville and Vickie (Mark) Winter of Creve Coeur, Missouri; sister, Catherine End of Perryville; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Hubert L'Hote; and sister, Helen Mertz.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until time of the funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Rich Wehrmeyer, C.M., officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Memorials are preferred to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Crown Hospice or St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
