ORAN -- Leon A. "Dutch" Heisserer, 86, of Denver, Colo., died Monday, May 26, 1997, at the Veterans Home in Denver.

He was born Feb. 7, 1911, in Oran. His parents were George Heisserer and Louisa LeGrand Heisserer Dohogne. He and Melva Carlson were married in 1957. She died in 1983.

Heisserer was a salesman. He served with the medical corps in the European Theater during World War II.

Survivors include a nephew, Ralph Heisserer of Oran; four nieces, Margarita Heisserer of St. Peters, Joan Busche of Poplar Bluff, Helen Walker of Middleburg, Va., and Margaret O'Neill of Maplewood, N.J.

Burial was in Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver.
