CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Leon Patrick Bisher, 96, of Chaffee died Monday, Sept. 27, 2010, at Chaffee Nursing Center.
He was born March 8, 1914, in St. Louis, son of John and Mary Schlosser Bisher. He and Cecelia Elizabeth Gosche were married Oct. 11, 1941. She preceded him in death Aug. 23, 2001.
Leon was a self-employed farmer. He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church and St. Ambrose Men's Club.
Survivors include three daughters, Pat LeGrand of Benton, Mo., Janet Landewee of Scott City, Alice (James) Vandeven of Cape Girardeau; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
The funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, with the Rev. Ralph Duffner officiating. Burial will be in St. Ambrose Cemetery.
