ORAN, Mo. -- Leo Curtis Schott, 73, of Oran passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018, at his home, surrounded by his family.
He was born Jan. 24, 1945, in Cape Girardeau to the late Leo Simon and Doris Faye McDaniel Schott. He and Carolyn Morrison married Feb. 23, 1963, and she survives of the home.
Leo was a retired diesel mechanic, over-the-road truck driver and Tyson contractor.
He served as a minister at his church and at the Benton, Missouri, jail. He was a member of The Sanctuary in Sikeston, Missouri.
Leo was in the Navy Reserve.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Schott; two sons, Doug (Darlene) Schott of Branson, Missouri, and Jeff (Leah) Schott of Bell City, Missouri; a daughter, Kelley (Steve) Prochak of Oran; a brother, Larry Schott of Perkins, Missouri; four sisters, Charlotte Foulk of Rockview, Missouri, Janet Smith of Scott City, Elizabeth Bryeans of Perkins and Debbie Riegert of Memphis, Tennessee; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Carl Schott.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at The Sanctuary, 338 Matthews Ave., in Sikeston.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at The Sanctuary, with the Revs. Rick Lovall and Gene Warren officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hills Memorial Garden in Morley, Missouri, with full military honors.
