CHARLESTON -- Leo S. Carr, 95, of Charleston, died Tuesday, Aug. 6, 1991, at Missouri Delta Medical Center. He was born April 19, 1896, in Prairie Du Rocher, Ill., son of William and Julia Boyer Carr. He and Maude Perkins were married Oct. 8, 1918. She died Feb. 24, 1969...

CHARLESTON -- Leo S. Carr, 95, of Charleston, died Tuesday, Aug. 6, 1991, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born April 19, 1896, in Prairie Du Rocher, Ill., son of William and Julia Boyer Carr. He and Maude Perkins were married Oct. 8, 1918. She died Feb. 24, 1969.

Carr had lived here since 1910. He was a retired farmer and flight instructor, and member of St. Henry's Catholic Church.

Survivors include five sons, Edward Carr of Malden, David Carr of New Matamoras, Ohio, Fred Carr of Florissant, James Carr of Poplar Bluff, Glennon Carr of Charleston; four daughters, Loretta Gier, Virginia Lynch and Ruth Telker of Charleston, Dorothy Wadley of St. Louis; 37 grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, two daughters, four brothers and two sisters.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Henry's Church. The Rev. Raymond Kunkel will officiate, with burial in Calvary Cemetery near here.

Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston after 5 p.m. today. A prayer service will be held at 7.
