SIKESTON, Mo. -- Leo Ramsey, 66, of Sikeston died Tuesday, March 1, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born March 30, 1938, in Shuqualak, Miss., son of John and Lucinda Hardin Ramsey. He and Dorothy Thomas were married July 7, 1968.

Ramsey was a retired construction worker.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Kevin Bolen of Milwaukee, Wis.; a daughter, Linda Banks of Sikeston; four brothers, Lafayette and Henry Ramsey of Wichita, Kan., W.L. and Sammie Ramsey of Shuqualak; five sisters, Bertha Oneal of Marks, Miss., Sadie Allen of Omaha, Neb., Lucy Ramsey, Annie Davis and Addie Miller, all of Wichita; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son and a daughter.

Friends may call at New Morning Star Church in Haywood City, Mo., from noon until time of service Saturday.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Alex Sims officiating. Burial will be in New Morning Star Cemetery.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel at Chaffee, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.
