PARMA -- Funeral for Leo Lane of Parma will be held at 1 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Parma. The Rev. Jody Duncan will officiate, with burial in Parma Cemetery.
Lane, 88, died Monday, Jan. 18, 1999, at Dexter Memorial Hospital in Dexter.
He was born Feb. 10, 1910, at Vinson, son of Willie T. and Pearl Baker Lane. He and Nona Maude Wyman were married Sept. 26, 1933, near Parma. She died Oct. 14, 1992.
Lane had lived in the Parma area all his life. He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include two sons, William Lane of Farmington, Mich., John Lane of Ontario, Calif.; a brother, Rovie Lane of Osage Beach; a sister, Mildred Chadwell of Fenton, Mich.; a stepbrother, Harley Eskew of Port Richey, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter.
