JACKSON, Mo. -- Leo V. Fiedler, 90, of Jackson died Saturday, June 23, 2001, at the Cape Girardeau Lutheran Home.
He was born Jan. 6, 1911, at New Wells, Mo., to C.H. "Ben" and Mary Mahnke Fiedler.
He married Bertha Wachter on May 16, 1935. She died Nov. 5, 1939. He married Meta Hemmann on Feb. 9, 1941. She died Oct. 27, 1989. He married Magdalena Doering on Oct. 18, 1992. She died Dec. 21, 1994.
He worked as a farmer, storekeeper, carpenter and custodian at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson for many years. He was a member of the church.
Survivors include a daughter, Darlene Bonney of Jackson; a son, Leonard Fiedler of St. Louis; three sisters, Milda Weber of Frohna, Mo., Stella Dreyer of St. Louis and Erna Powell of Lander, Wyo.; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
A daughter, two sons, two sisters and three brothers preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson, with the Rev. Robert Henrichs officiating. Burial will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
